Chi Soo Te was founded in 1982 by our teacher, Professor Gary D. Jones, (pictured above with his teacher, Professor William R. Beach). Our system is a combination of the many systems our teacher studied in. Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do, Okinawan Shorin-Ryu, Vietnamese Boxing, Chinese Boxing, and Kodenkan Jujitsu to name just a few. 

Professor Beach trained under his brother Professor Bill Beach, who trained under Professor Ray L. Law, who was a direct disciple of Professor Henry S. Okazaki, founder of the Kodenkan Jujitsu System.

One of my teachers fondest memories of his teacher was the day they met. Professor Jones had seen many schools with mats on the floor, but Professor Beach had the first with mats on the walls!
