We
have tried to give you some frequently asked questions that
we hear regarding our system and our classes. Please
e-mail us
with any questions you may have and we'll do our best to
answer them right away!

Q: How much
are classes?
A: See our "Class Pricing" page for
all pricing options plus days and times of classes.
Q: Do you have testing fees?
A: No, students are only responsible for their classes,
uniforms, and their printed material.
Q: How long of a contract do I need
to sign to become a student?
A: We have no contracts. Students pay as they train.
As soon as a student has reached his or her goals, they
should move on.
Q: Why do you not teach children?
A: Jujitsu is not a sport. We do not give out trophies,
nor do we have tournaments. What our students learn is
what to do when they are confronted by an attacker. This
may involve seriously injuring that attacker. We don't
want children seriously injuring each other.
Q: How old do I have to be before
being considered as a student?
A: We will consider teaching mature teens with parental
consent. We will want to meet with a parent, and we would
like the parent to come see what we do first.
Q: Do you have a women's only class?
A: When asked this question, we usually ask this one back.
"Do you want to learn how to defend yourself against only
women?" Our classes are COED. There are certain
techniques that women work together with other women, but a
good deal of training is practicing these techniques on
men. No one is ever asked to perform a technique that he
or she is uncomfortable with, or that he or she believes
might cause them personal injury. Again, we are not
competing. Instructors and students are here to learn,
teach, grow, and have fun.
Q: Do you offer an aerobic kick
boxing class?
A: If you are looking for a class where everyone lines
up and punches and kicks a stationary target, and that's
all you want, then no, we're probably not for you.
We do kicking and punching
drills. We crank up the music and yell as we're doing
them. We practice with stationary and moving targets. You
will get a good workout and you will leave our class
tired! Now, if you also want to learn what to do when that
"target" hits back... then yes, we're probably for you.
Q: Can I come by and watch a class
before I decide to start training?
A: Yes, and we highly recommend this. Please
call and let us know that you
are coming.
Q: I have trained before, can I wear
my old uniform and come try your class?
A: Sorry... We get a lot of "hot shots" that want
to come and impress us with the skills they learned in
karate back in junior high. If you are really
interested in learning, come by and see what we do.
You will have questions for us and we will have questions
for you. Our classes might not be right for you, and
then again you might not be right for our classes. We
accept students by invitation. Please call and let us
know that you are coming.
